NY Teachers Against Vaccine Mandates for Educators
Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), stated she supports forcing in-school teachers to take a COVID-19 vaccine, once one has been approved and is readily available. Apparently she believes she speaks for all 1.7 million of the teachers who pay her salary. I am a dues-paying UFT member, and Randi does not speak for me or thousands of other teachers that support informed consent over mandates.
Does she speak for you?
Weingarten compared the 1.7 million teachers that pay her salary to school children. Her comment was, “We would support (force vaccinating teachers) Just like we have vaccines we require kids to take to be in school in normal times.”
Weingarten made sure to specify that she was referring only to “in-person” teachers. So the insinuation is that if you teach remote then you don’t have to get the vaccine. Does that sound like the AFT or the UFT ever plans on going back to full in-person teaching?
No, it doesn’t.
What it sound like is that Weingarten is now fully onboard with the “reimagine education” agenda involving the mass increase of teaching children at a distance. By definition this is going to mean far less teachers who will eventually make far less money, and have far less benefits, and far less protections. Weingarten is a part of Governor Cuomo’s “reimagine education” working group whose goal is to increase remote learning and decrease in-person education.
A COVID vaccine does not exist yet and the top vaccinoligists on the planet question if a safe and effective one will ever be developed.
According to Dr. Paul Offit, inventor of the rotavirus vaccine, a COVID vaccine has the potential to be very dangerous. Offit stated, “An example is the dengue vaccine. When it was tested in Latin America and Philippines, it was found to actually increase your risk of dengue shock syndrome. Children who were less than 9 years of age, who had never been exposed to the virus before, were actually more likely to be hurt by the vaccine than helped by it. Now, you only knew that from doing large clinical trials with tens of thousands of people.”
Dr. Peter Hotez – whose work producing vaccines is funded by Bill Gates – shares Offit’s concerns and recently testified in front of Congress saying effectively the exact same thing as Offit. “One of the things that we are not hearing a lot about is the unique potential safety problem of coronavirus vaccines. What happens with certain types of respiratory virus vaccines is you get immunized and then when you get actually exposed to the virus you get this kind of paradoxical immune enhancement phenomenon.”
“Immune Enhancement” is where a vaccine does the opposite of what it is supposed to do, and actually causes an individual to get extremely ill if they come in contact with the disease they were vaccinated for.

I believe in the right to choose!!

My daughter is DTap injured from 2001. How can any vaccines be mandated? Parents should have the choice when it comes to our children. When there’s a risk, there should be a choice. Period!

Where there is risk there must be choice… for teachers AND students! No forced vaccines anywhere!

Vaccinations are not one size fits all.
Also, what I do to my body is my choice .
